Santander

This project is the result of an awesome collaboration with Younder to design learning solutions for Santander. We developed four eLearning courses on governance, risk management and compliance, fraud prevention, work ethics, and investments.

What I liked the most about this project was the special attention to ensuring that all multimedia materials had a red element to connect to the branding.

Analysis

We employed surveys with the representative participants from the target population and interviews with different stakeholders to understand the learners’ characteristics, the skills to be improved, and how the training should impact the target audience. We also used the results of our needs assessment to create a user persona for the project.
User personas are archetypical characters whose goals and characteristics represent the needs of the company’s target population. I love working with user personas because it helps designers put their biases aside and design solutions for a more concrete user.

Design and Development

My design-decisions are always driven by strategies from cognitive psychology along with findings from scientific articles to enhance learning, such as:

The materials were developed using various authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I created a Visual ID guide to help maintain visual consistency across the materials.

Evaluation

We created and implemented formative and summative evaluations. The formative assessment included pop quizzes and questions for reflection through the modules to ensure learners were progressing competently. All items were tested for validity in alpha and beta testing.
The summative assessment included a multiple-choice test with open-ended questions to ensure learners acquired the lessons’ objectives and a satisfaction survey and retrospective meeting with the clients to help us refine the modules using a data-driven approach.
